18 lutego w Rektoracie UPH powitaliśmy pierwszą grupę studentów zagranicznych, którzy przyjechali na naszą uczelnię, aby odbyć część studiów w ramach programu Erasmus+. W tym semestrze gościmy u nas stypendystów z Turcji, Hiszpanii, Wietnamu, Rosji, Somalii i Tadżykistanu. Będą oni studiować na wszystkich wydziałach UPH.
Spotkanie powitalne poprowadziła mgr Katarzyna Sobolewska – kierownik Działu Nauki i Współpracy z Zagranicą, która przedstawiła gościom pracowników Działu Nauki i Współpracy z Zagranicą, koordynatorów wydziałowych Erasmus+ oraz studentów „buddies”, którzy zaoferowali swoją pomoc i wsparcie w integracji nowoprzybyłych. Studenci zagraniczni mieli również okazję powiedzieć kilka słów o sobie i porozmawiać bezpośrednio ze swoimi koordynatorami wydziałowymi. W trakcie spotkania wyświetlono prezentację multimedialną na temat UPH oraz film promujący naszą uczelnię i Siedlce. Po części oficjalnej i po wykonaniu pamiątkowego zdjęcia studenci mieli okazję skosztować tradycyjnych dań kuchni polskiej w ramach Polish Food Lunch.
Przez kolejne 2 tygodnie studenci Erasmus+ wezmą udział w intensywnym kursie języka polskiego oraz w szeregu wydarzeń kulturalnych i językowych, przygotowanych specjalnie dla nich przez Biuro Erasmus+ we współpracy z Uczelnianym Ośrodkiem Kultury.
On 18 February we welcomed a group of foreign students who came to our university in order to spend here part of their studies as Erasmus+ programme participants. This semester we are hosting guests from Turkey, Spain, Vietnam, Russia, Somalia and Tajikistan. They will be studying at all the four faculties.
Leading the meeting, Katarzyna Sobolewska, the Head of Research and International Relations Office, introduced the guests to the Erasmus+ staff, the faculty coordinators, and to the Polish students, the buddies, who offered their support and assistance to the newcomers. The foreign students also had an opportunity to introduce themselves and talk to their coordinators for a couple of minutes. During the meeting a multimedia presentation about Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities and a video promoting our university and the city of Siedlce were shown. After a commemorative picture of the participants was taken, we all went to the Polish Food Lunch to a nearby restaurant.
During the next two weeks the Erasmus+ students will take part in an intense Polish language course as well as in many cultural and entertaining events arranged for our visitors by the Erasmus+ Office and the university’s Centre for Culture.
