Dnia 1 marca 2023 r. na wydziale Nauk Społecznych, Dział Nauki i Współpracy z Zagranicą oraz Welcome Center zorganizowały Welcome Day dla studentów międzynarodowych Erasmus+, którzy rozpoczynają naukę w UPH w semestrze letnim.
Wydarzenie to zapoczątkowało Welcome Week, w ramach którego nasi goście uczestniczyli w szeregu wydarzeń, które pozwoliły im na lepsze poznanie historii, kultury i lokalnych zabytków. Na początku tygodnia studenci Erasmus+ udali się na wycieczkę do Warszawy podczas której odwiedzili Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego a także kompleks Pałacowy w Wilanowie. Na koniec wycieczki grupa udała się do Ogrodów Świateł.
Kolejną atrakcją było zwiedzanie miasta Siedlce ze świetnym przewodnikiem - Panią Natalią Zyśk, która przybliżyła studentom historię Siedlec od samych początków ich istnienia. Studenci odwiedzili Stary Rynek: kościół Św. Stanisława, Skwer Kościuszki, Muzeum Regionalne a także Kaplicę oraz Pałac Ogińskich.
Na zakończenie wycieczki studenci udali się na krótki spacer nad Zalewem Siedleckim.
To jednak nie koniec wydarzeń jakie Welcome Center zaplanowało dla naszych zagranicznych gości.
Już w najbliższych dniach odbędą się warsztaty kulinarne z tradycyjną kuchnią polską, natomiast w kwietniu będzie miało miejsce wydarzenie pt. Speed Networking, podczas którego nasi Erasmusi będą mieli okazję zintegrować się ze studentami regularnymi studiującymi w UPH wymieniając się informacjami o swoich krajach i zwyczajach.
Po serdecznym przywitaniu w Siedlcach, nasi zagraniczni studenci z energią i zapałem ruszyli na wykłady.
Życzymy im wielu sukcesów w nauce oraz pełnej adaptacji w nowym środowisku akademickim!
On March 1, 2023, at the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Research and International relations Office altogether with the Welcome Center organized a Welcome Day for Erasmus+ international students who started their studies at UPH in the summer semester.
This event marked the beginning of the Welcome Week, during which our guests participated in a number of events that allowed them to better understand the history, culture and local monuments. At the beginning of the week, Erasmus+ students went on a trip to Warsaw during which they visited the Warsaw Uprising Museum and the Wilanów Palace complex. At the end of the tour, the group went to the Gardens of Lights.
Another attraction was visiting the city of Siedlce with a great guide - Mrs. Natalia Zyśk, who introduced the students to the history of Siedlce from the very beginning of its existence. Students visited the Old Market Square: St. Stanislaw Church, Kosciuszko Square, the Regional Museum as well as the Chapel and the Ogiński Palace.
At the end of the trip, the students went for a short walk by the Siedlce Zalew.
However, this is not the end of the events that the Welcome Center has planned for our foreign guests.
Culinary workshops with traditional Polish cuisine will take place in the coming days, while in April there will be an event called Speed Networking, during which our Erasmus students will have the opportunity to integrate with regular students studying at UPH, exchanging information about their countries and customs.
After a cordial welcome in Siedlce, our foreign students went to the lectures with energy and enthusiasm.
We wish them a lot of success in learning and full adaptation to the new academic environment!
